Dr Sujoy is a practicing Laparoscopic and Bariatric Surgeon in Goa. Dr Sujoy and his team was the first to start Laparoscopic surgery in Goa in 1999.

He has done all types of Laparoscopic surgery starting from Gall Bladder surgeries , appendectomies, hernia surgery,Hiatus hernia surgery for gastrooesophageal reflux, laparoscopic cancer surgery for cancer of colon, rectum, stomach.,Laparoscopic surgery in children for all types of congenital anomalies.

His centre is the only Center in Goa which routinely does Single incision key hole surgery also called single port or SILS surgery where in just a single hole is made for performing the entire surgery.

He is know for doing bariatric surgery which is a surgery for obese people where in through key holes the stomach is reduced in size which is called a sleeve gastrectomy or a gastric bypass surgery where in again through key holes a small stomach pouch is made and joined to a loop of intestine.

He is a life member of the association of minimally invasive surgeons of india and also a life member of the indian association of gastrointestinal surgeons.
